Citroën offers improved £2000 scrappage incentive scheme

Weeks ahead of the announced new Government led Scrappage Scheme, new car buyers can already obtain £2000 for their old vehicles when they trade them in for any new Citroën.

Under the Company’s enhanced Trade-In Incentive Scheme, customers who order any new Citroën by the end of April 2009 will receive £2000 for their vehicle, registered before 2000, when trading in their old vehicle which will be processed professionally via Cartakeback.

Citroën offers a wide range of economical and environmentally conscious vehicles with many emitting less than 120g/km of CO2. One of Citroën’s best models for family space, economy and low emissions is the C4. The Citroën C4 range includes models that can achieve up to 64.2mpg on the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of as little as 117g/km, making them eligible for the low cost road tax band B.

Xavier Duchemin, Managing Director of Citroën UK, commented; “The Chancellor has realised the benefits of a scrappage scheme in the UK, and this will promote the replacement of older, more polluting vehicles with cleaner, safer and more economical models. However, car buyers don’t have to wait for the Government, they can benefit from our £2000 incentive right now.”
